I used to pick berries when I was about 8 years old. They were on a bush in the middle of a field at the end of a dead end road that got about 3 cars/day worth of traffic.

Would you like to hear the stories about some of the dumb things I've seen male drivers do?

Face it, (a few of you), insurance companies have put a lot of money into research and they know that it is the young male driver of the species who does the stupidest things behind the wheel of an automobile.

Besides, MichaelD, I don't understand why you're so upset and flabbergasted by what the woman did. You said that she was pulled off the road into the grass.

There was no accident, she was not on the road, in the road, blocking traffic, obstructing traffic in anyway,... So what was the problem?

It was very nice of you to stop to try to help a motorist that you thought might be having mechanical difficulties and maybe you're upset that you went to the trouble and had made a mistake, but why get so upset at over half the world's population about it?

I honk my horn and give her the "WTF are you doing, you stupid woman?" gesture. She just gives me this blank stare and goes on picking berries.

Of course she gave you a blank stare and went on with her business. She was probably thinking, "WTF does it look like I'm doing, and why are you getting so hysterical about it, you stupid man?"

There are a few good woman drivers...my GF is actually a pretty decent driver. She hates other female drivers, though, and will go out of her way, changing lanes two or three times to get away from any woman behind the wheel of another car.

Here's how I look at it:


Male drivers: most likely to speed, drive drunk, make a dangerous move with the vehicle. Most likely to cut you off b/c you are driving "too slow"

Female drivers: most likely to be doing a virtual plethora of tasks while driving...none of those tasks related to driving, of course. Most likely to be putting on makeup, strapping baby into car seat...while car is already on the highway, fiddling with purse, fiddling w/phone, fiddling with a fiddle, etc.

LOL, what a classic.

And yes, you're right about things female drivers do, but male businessmen have been known to hold the laptop on the steering wheel while driving to work. :Q

Of all the horrible things this woman could have been doing, she was pulled over to the side of the road, squatted down and picking some berries. Oh the humanity!
