*PRELUDE* Imagine a highway entrance ramp in the shape of a spiral. A tight spiral that really IS a 25 MPH ramp, no matter what vehicle or motorcycle you are driving.*
If I did not see this crap with my own two eyes, I would not have believed it, even if The Pope himself told me.
I was on the way home from the Isuzu dealer at about 1500; got the tires balanced and rotated. Going from one highway to the next on the ramp described above. The ramp is kind of long...I'd imagine about a 720-degree (two loops) length.
In the MIDDLE of the ramp, I spot an new Explorer pulled into the grass (the spiral ramp is carved into a grassy hill...just picture it, OK?) with it's hazards on.
Me being the Good Samaritan that I am, I slow down and assess the situation. If I was broken down, I'd sure want someone to stop and assist me, right?
I slow to about 5MPH and sidle up next to the truck....it's empty...tires look OK...no fluids leaking...it's not on fire...I wonder what is wrong?
Out of the corner of my left eye, movement catches my attention.
There, to the left, squatting down in the bushes...on the fvcking exit ramp, is a 40-something woman, with a plastic ziplock baggie in her hand, picking BERRIES off of one of the bushes...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE $%#~!!&*&^% EXIT RAMP!!!!:|:|:|:|:
Mind you, this is not some country-bumpkin country road; this is the intersection of Interstate 35, which goes from Mexico to Oklahoma thru Texas and Loop 1604, which goes around the entire city of San Antonio TX...a very, very busy interchange. HOLY CRAP! This woman must be fruggin' loopy!
I honk my horn and give her the "WTF are you doing, you stupid woman?" gesture. She just gives me this blank stare and goes on picking berries.
I am now completely convinced that the only reason we gave women the right to drive in the USA back in 1930 was so we would not have to drive them around ourselves and hear them whine. In retrospect, what a mistake that was. Right to vote, right to drive, right to speak...boy, where we men desperate to get women out of our cars back then.
