Shentech doesnt sell Samsung original

I fell for it, you dont have to.

The link shows a Samsung part number, but its a chip part #. The graphic clearly shows a Samsung PCB. Still, I called them before placing the order. I was assured that it was Samsung chips w/ Samsung PCBs.

Wrong.

I am going to have them cross ship me genuine memory, or credit my account and send me an RMA package, or I am going to decline the credit card charge and report them to the BBB.

You have to be careful. The only part number(s) you should be looking for, for true Sammy 512 PC2700 are M386L6423DTL or
M386L6423CTL. Part# K4H560838D listed at that site, is just for the chip, as you had stated.

But the fact that they said it's true sammy over the phone, pre-sale, when it actually is not is rotten. I bet some flunky thought you were asking if it was true PC2700.

As a general rule, I only use shentech for price matching.

The give away that these guys don't have a clue is that the "read latency" is "2.5" They must pull this number out of their rears because latency can either be a "two" or "three". The reasoning behind this is because a read takes place once every clock tick, not at a fraction of a clock. So you have a latency of either two OR three clock ticks -- not "2.5". I don't know what they are trying to communicate with this "CL2.5" business.

The salesman said it was Samsung PCB. I paid for Samsung PCB, but I didnt get Samsung PCB. I sent them an email with two options. Credit me and send me a postage paid RMA kit, or ship me original Samsung memory with a postage paid RMA kit and I would send this stuff back to them when I got.

On a side note, I did mem test 3.0 testing all last night, and I got errors with this stuff. GA-7VRXP, with memory timings conservative and no overclocking at all.

That's why I buy crucial as well....
I've got my PC2100 running stock voltage OC'd to 300Mhz (ddr) with CAS2 timing, no errors at all under memtest.

While we are on the subject of memory, can anyone suggest what the best place would be to buy PC800 RDRAM chips for a decent price?

I see brand new 512MB Samsung and Kingston PC800 RDRAM being sold on ebay for around $200 plus shipping and this causes me to think that it should be available for less. Just not able to find it.
