Since he's never come close to losing an election, I assume it's well worth the cost to his constituents.
...Which is why people with an actual brain in their skull is saying his policies (and therefore, him as well) is a complete and utter waste of money.
He's just throwing taxpayer money down the drain with his madcap ideas to bolster his own ego. That someone thinks it's actually worth it buying american flags and pink underwear for taxpayer money doesn't change that. It just goes to show that some people have no idea what worthwile spending of taxpayer money really is.
Taxes used for public good like medical care for everyone = nazism, communism and everything inbetween; taxes spent on flags, pink underwear, tents and all the lawsuits those things caused = awesomesauce, apparantly.
Let's not forget the guy's also either completely incompetent or an evil asshole, considering the hundreds of sex crimes he's failed to investigate including dozens of child molestations, abuses of power and wrongful prosecutions aimed at politicians, judges and at least one other runner for his job as county sheriff, as well as enormous squandering of money ($100+ MILLION.)
But he's a fascist, sociopath rightwinger, so none of the above really matters in the eyes of some people. "He's tough on crime!" Bah. The fucker belongs in his own tent concentration camp.
