My WD 200GB RMA replacement hard drive sat on my uncovered front porch all weekend while I was away, with some rain, moisture and cold. When I upacked it, it was sealed in an electrostatic bag with a silica gel packet. Should I be concerned?
Since it was left out I would take it out of the bag and let it acclimate for 4 or 5 hours first. That should give it some time to equalize the humidity in the drive.
