Shipping from Newegg

First of all let me applogize if this is in the wrong area and I don't have access to the search bar ( at work and have a limited browsing ability)

I ordered the 15-2500k, r.a.t 7 gaming mouse, razor blackwiddow ultimate keyboard, hyper212 evo , paste, and a tool kit from newegg.ca on friday.

I don't think they ship over the weekend so I won't count that but how long do you think it will take to ship to Newfoundland, Canada? ( using express )

Is there anythign I should expect such as anykind of damage or anything to that sort? This is really my first time buying something from a retail website ( ordered stuff from ebay but I don't consider that the same as Newegg or NCIX )

You should get an email when they ship it from the warehouse, probably ship it out on monday, you should expect everything by friday. Unless they are shipping from california warehouse in which case you could see an extra few days added on + weekend, so a week or two weeks at the most. I didn't even know people lived that far north

I live in Illinois near the Mississippi River accross from St Louis, MO, and they shipped my i-5 2500k from New Jersey and it took like 6 days to get to me (Includes weekend). However, everything else was received within 3 days. It depends what warehouse the products are in. They may have a canadian warehouse? Maybe you can share how long it takes to get there.

I had to ship a dead hard drive back to california on an RMA. Wonder how that would work out in Canada?

I wonder if Canada has Frys and Micro Center Stores?

Maybe Canadian tire and battery will start selling computer parts?

If you are refering to Canadian Tire, then no they will never sell coumputer parts. In my area of Newfoundland we have Staples and a few local computer resellers like Compro. The best thing that Staples has is a GTS450 and its priced at 135$ hahaha.

I will update on the time it takes to get my order and I really home nothing is DOA. That will turn my expierence 180 degrees.

Newegg usually ships by the next business day (business day = weekday that is not a holiday). After that it is in the hands of the shipping company. Wait until you get the "your order has shipped" email the next business day (or sometimes same day if lucky) and then track it. The shipper should have an estimate of the delivery date (but not exact time).

In your first post you said 15-2500k however it is the i5 (the letter "I") that is why he commented about 15 CPU's, in my opinion it was a jocose post.

The whole Canada thing makes it tougher to estimate. I honestly don't know how much it would add to the shipping time. I would guess that your order would be shipped out of the Edison NJ location as you are east coast. I live in New England and generally get my NewEgg shipments within 24 hours. I have often placed orders at 3pm with standard shipping and had them by 10am the next day.

Maybe a day to get to Quebec, then however long it usually takes from there would be my guess. One of the reasons I have been a big fan of NewEgg is how fast the get the order out the door. They are no longer the cheapest out there, but they are very predictable.

I'm spoiled, since I live in Maryland and most of my stuff ships from Jersey i get most stuff in 1-2 days. I did however have a situation a couple weeks ago where I ordered some ram and it took 6 days for DHL to deliver what UPS does in 1-2. Newegg had no explanation.
