Shoes indoors? With poll

I don't have an inch of carpet on my main living floor. It's all hardwood or laminate. If I track something in, I just sweep or wipe it up. I don't obsess over taking my shoes off, but if I'm in for the night I'll take off my shoes and wear my slippers.

So if an appliance repairman was to go to your house to fix your Hot Water Heater or Dishwasher you'd make then take of their shoes? Yeah right, I seriously doubt any appliance repairman is going to work on your appliances in bare or stocking feet, it's not safe. How about Delivery Man, you going to make him take off his shoes to carry a Refrigerator or some other heavy item into your house? Good luck with that.

Shoes on always ... unless I don't plan to step outside for many hours. I like being fully prepared to step out without the hassle of gearing up.
Of course if I've been tramping through snow or mud I'll remove them ... otherwise there is no point.

I'm in my sox right noe, as soon as I get in the door my shoes come off. Have a pile os shoes by the door. It feels so good to take them off.
