75 feet is the upper limit for most pistol shooters but being able to place shots on target at that range, even if it's 25% of the time is a worthwhile skill.
For me at that distance the front blade of the sight obscures the target most of the time unless I am using a pistol with a very thin front blade. If you're using any sort of sight insert for night shooting it will most certainly obscure the target to some degree.
That said, at 75 feet on still targets I can put all my shots on the paper but it isn't easy. Shooting under stress at a moving target is much different but again, if you can put 100% if your shots on still targets in good light you should do OK on moving targets, it won't be anywhere near 100% but all hits count.
