Wow if you watch the video closely, right before the shots ring out, you can see a laser sight on the black dude on the right.

I am betting angry nerd teen who got into an argument with somebody at that tournament, or a previous gaming session.

I should not have watched that god damn video. I feel like throwing up. I never post in OT or P&N anymore, but felt like saying something. Don't know why. These kids were playing games. I heard them screaming as they realized the gravity of what was taking place. One kid seemed to have been shot and didn't realize it was a real bullet that hit him. That's what it sounded like at least.
I heard a kid screaming, maybe realizing that someone was shooting him with a real gun, and he wasn't stopping until he was dead. That's what it sounded like. Imagine being in that moment as it happens so suddenly and seems so out of place that by the time you truly grasp what is happening, you may only have seconds left to live. I could imagine trying to understand, quickly, why someone would want to shoot me so I could rationalize with the shooter to try and make them stop, but it's no use because they just keep pulling the trigger. There's no time for that. There was no time for these young people playing video games.

Honestly it’s a pretty valid discussion to have.

It would be, if there was any such thing as "video game addiction." Video games are no different than any form of repeatable entertainment. No one talks about "TV addiction" anymore even though the average American spends over 20 hours per week watching TV. It's a cultural bias that some people have with video games, because they associate them with children and think the activity is especially frivolous.

If anything can be "addictive," then nothing is addictive. A real "addiction" is a physical dependency.

Eh, psychological addiction is a thing. And it can be applied to anything: Food, porn, videogames, tv, etc
