"asset protection team"
So that's what it's called, eh? Many years ago, a gal I knew worked for Sears security. She mentioned the $10,000.00 worth of cameras, VCRs and monitors that had been added to their security system. I told her I thought that was pretty extravagant. Not that much merchandise would likely even be stolen. She said that was a pittance compared to the cost of a false arrest trial and settlement. With those cameras and tapes, it's pretty hard for that to happen now.
I'd sure like to know what penalties these thieves face after they're convicted. They ought to be stiffly fined to help pay for all this equipment used to bag them. Not to mention salaries of the "asset protection team". What kind of punishment do they get?
