There are several companies in excess of 200 billion USD revenue. Ours happen to be one and is not American. Anyway, Its an expression of my opinion on the matter not that I am anti AMD. I have Intel and AMD products. My first CPU is a Thunderbird. But I do not like such ads.
But I think I stop here.

Oh, please. Corporations in Europe, Asia and North America are at each others throats all the time looking for any edge or weakness. They advertise. They market their products as being better than their competitors. They measure their products against their competitors. They have a legal responsibility to their stockholders to do so. I sincerely doubt whatever behemoth corporation you claim to work at doesn't engage in the same tactics. Just look at Volkswagen and the swindle they have engaged in over their customers and emission laws in scads of countries.

Yet another example on why AMD should replace their whole marketing team. This rebel this and poor volta that low level marketing on competitor presentation ground is nothing more than childish and laughable at best.

You need to present yourself and your products on best possible light and drum how they are superior, otherwise you will look weak if you have to get your own crappy small booth on every competitor ground when they are having some kind of presentation.

No wonder no one is taking AMD seriously when every sane person knows this practice doesn't look professional and it makes the company look like they are being run by bunch of teenages. If you have to drum every time why you are better than the competition and not advertise yourself why your products are superior by dragging competition to the scheme, how can you think their products actually are better?

Are you ten years old? Or have you been living in a cave your entire existence?

What? You know there are thousands of shootings each day worldwide? By that logic we can never use the words "shots and fired" ever, because worldwide there are always shootings happening all the time.

Heck by that logic we should never use words like "death, disease, illness, cancer, ebola, knifing, beating, pounding, etc... because literally every day these things happen.

When you need to get mindshare up from essentially zero - then you have to use your competitors existing mindshare to draw attention - then make your case for your product being better.

LOL.. Sega does what Nintendon't , There is no Nintendo CD!! Yeah I miss those days. Anyway I dont see why everyone is all up in arms. AMD did this in good fun and I think it is pretty funny. Sure would love to get me a hat and t-shirt or hoodie with this slogan on them.

AMD should go to Nintendo path showing up their advantages against Intel (and they have a lot right now)

Obviously, one can "use the words" in a reasonable context for discussion, or in a legitimate news article, etc, but to trivialize them to make a joke, and even worse in a clearly off topic, inflammatory post in a technical forum is another matter altogether. You probably forgot " glued together", you probably didn't do that also did you? Nvidia is playing dirty also .... but at least we have some amusement from AMD .
We still don't know, if Raja left or was fired. So... hopefully AMD releases fastest gaming GPU soon.

I can't wait for Ryzen & Threadripper 2000 CPUs, ...

Yes, sure ...
I know full well that there are lots of crap going around between companies, ours including.
But I was not even saying Intel good, AMD bad. Like I said I have AMD products and Intel products.

My point was what AMD presents to me as a customer personal or Enterprise. I don't not wish to hear some crap about how Intel is bad, Nvidia bad, AMD good. This a another topic which is obviously also important, at least for the sake of innovation and competition in the industry if nothing else but for the fanboys. I want to know what AMD can offer.
I mean Poor Volta sales pitch and then what?
I mean ROCm and all that, but what do I get? At least on the things I am working on, AMD had no working OpenCL DNN stack, we cannot use their products.
My personal machine is a Ryzen machine, why because I get more cores for my money. same can be said for EPYC.
That said I am not remotely involved in backend infrastructure so I cannot say how great it is.

But my opinion, on the things that I buy, or on the things that I can exert purchasing decision, I would find it cheesy if I had to read such brochures or product portfolios to make a purchase decision. I would rather see AMD better in this or that, or more value or whatever but not poor Intel or whatever.
Just my opinion.
