Right next to Intel no less.

As expected, it looks like Intel's booth is much bigger than AMD's.

I don't know how the corporate culture at AMD is, in our company we do not talk crap about the products from the competition

"Poor Volta" was indeed a garbage, this is however funny/sarcastic/ironic IMHO.

Btw, marketing of CPU division is much better since release of Ryzen, GPU division, unfortunately must wait for their moment.

I for one don't really see this as trash talking. Maybe I'm naive? Showing the up to 3.3x performance per $ is considered crap talking?

You work for Intel ? Because they talk a good talk, and then behind the scenes try and use every tool at their disposal to undermine the competition, including anti-competitive practices, and its not only true, but proven in court.

Competitors trash talk each other all the time in tech in marketing campaigns. You must have your eyes closed. It goes on in almost every field imaginable. Have you ever seen or heard any ads or television commercials from Microsoft or Apple? You must be trolling.

I do not have my eyes closed. But maybe it is the industry that I am in. Our organization is many times the size of Intel. We do not trash talk our competition.
That said we have Intel based products because we never wanted to have even worse closed source garbage called CUDA in our system.
Take a look around.... there are much more companies than just Microsoft or Apple.
Also CPU and GPU isn't all about gaming.

I have nothing against AMD or Intel. In fact I have an AMD machine. But I am against ridiculing the competition, perhaps because in my industry we have respect for one another.

Something in your post doesn't add up. "Our organization is many times the size of Intel". Intel is one of the most profitable companies with revenue that is mind boggling. There are only a handful of companies in the world in their league. Let alone "many times their size".You happen to work at one? "We do not trash talk our competition." Marketing your product against your rivals doesn't mean "trash talking the competition".

AMD has done stuff about Intel in the past as well.

IIRC many years ago AMD had an airplane flying an advertisement about Intel during CES.

One time which was quite funny at the time (most people thought so), is AMD provided what was called a Prescott Survival Kit when Intel released Prescott (some called it "Preshot" back then).

Found an old thread I made about 14 years years ago about it (Where does the time go? And so quickly?). Some didn't think it was funny, but most did when AMD revealed it back then.

Here is a site with some info about what it was.

Here is a snip about some of it.
"AMD use to be accused of being the manufacturer of furnace processors, but that clearly is not the case anymore. Intel now rightly wears that crown with Prescott. -the inquirer

With 25db noise reduction Elvex Quattro reusable ear plugs should lower the pain of noisy huge Prescott coolers

The instruction literature is presenting the different parts and putting a strong emphasis on AMD64 advanced technology

650MB CDRW 4X for backing up the datas that are not virus protected on Prescott is a minimum

Prescott cooling?

Real cute and impressive USB fan just enough to dry your sweat when your temp monitoring programme is beeping like crazy

Lovely oven mitt for handling the overheating processor is also part of the bundle. Is Intel going to bundle this as well?

There are several companies in excess of 200 billion USD revenue. Ours happen to be one and is not American. Anyway, Its an expression of my opinion on the matter not that I am anti AMD. I have Intel and AMD products. My first CPU is a Thunderbird. But I do not like such ads.
But I think I stop here.

Well, then since your country is not the US, maybe due to your laws, the "hardcore" marketing of US companies is not even allowed.

HERE in the US, this is normal

Didn't Steve Jobs refer to IBM as the Evil Empire back in early 80's? Personally I don't what the issue is, as companies have been taking jabs at each other for a long time now.

I find this amusing, especially in light of amdflaws.com and associated shenanigans.

AMD should not went to the SEGA path...
LOL.. Sega does what Nintendon't , There is no Nintendo CD!! Yeah I miss those days. Anyway I dont see why everyone is all up in arms. AMD did this in good fun and I think it is pretty funny. Sure would love to get me a hat and t-shirt or hoodie with this slogan on them.

Yet another example on why AMD should replace their whole marketing team. This rebel this and poor volta that low level marketing on competitor presentation ground is nothing more than childish and laughable at best.

You need to present yourself and your products on best possible light and drum how they are superior, otherwise you will look weak if you have to get your own crappy small booth on every competitor ground when they are having some kind of presentation.

No wonder no one is taking AMD seriously when every sane person knows this practice doesn't look professional and it makes the company look like they are being run by bunch of teenages. If you have to drum every time why you are better than the competition and not advertise yourself why your products are superior by dragging competition to the scheme, how can you think their products actually are better?

Clearly many people here aren’t in the enterprise space. There is trash talk all around. Additionally, the saying was for IBM. No one was fired for buying or hiring IBM.

Have you ever heard of Palo Alto vs Checkpoint ?

Cisco vs Aruba

F5 vs Citrix

And so on. You guys are a completely different demographic, and I wouldn’t take marketing advise from 99.9% of you.
