He should not be let back.
The lies are one thing, but he used his position of "trust" to drive others from the forums (the founder of the Seti team for example).
I'm someone who never trusted his stories (and got a certain amount of crap for it) but I didn't care about the stories. What I cared about is what he was happy doing to other members.
He got busted and banned for life and that should be the end of it.

Voted no. Permanent should mean permanent.
Shut up with this ridiculous argument.
Paulson had a permaban lifted -and he's Elite now.
GoldenGuppy had a permaban lifted.
Paulson shouldn't have been let back in, either, but obviously he made friends with a mod or something.
He was banned for incessant neffing, and when he came back, he neffed just as much. But instead of ridiculous posts for no reason, he posted acting like he was helping, like in a thread that asked how to do something on the AT Forums, he'd reply something like "ck forum rules" or "PM a mod", etc.
Simple, very short answers and lots of them, done solely for post count.
Maybe he's great now, but that's exactly what he did immediately after he was reinstated.
He did NOT, however, lead everyone on ATOT on the emotional rollercoaster that Dennilfloss did.
The situations are not in any way similar, other than they were both banned, and one was let back.

Paulson earned his Elite badge by helping folks like friggin crazy. Dennis didn't do anything remotely worth getting upset over and neither did Paulson.
Like I said, maybe Paulson is great now, I don't know.Originally posted by: Nik

That's not a ridiculous argument, maybe those people still deserve their permabans.
Also, telling people to shut up over the internet is a pointless inflammatory response.

Why you guys FAIL to realize is that this is NOT a democracy . . .
Someone in AT is testing whether Dennilfloss will be able to post here or not.
from the looks of the responses - dropping the "hateful" responses and Dennil's friends from the equation, says to me that he'll be back.
Which is good news to me because he was "entertainment" and OT forum is currently full of dull [and hateful] posters.

So uh if you drop the "hateful" responses (I read this as people against his reentery) you'll be dropping about 40% of the peoples opinion that voiced one in this thread? Also there was a shortlived poll thread specifically for this subject. If I recall from the small sample, which occurred around lunch westcoast time IIRC those againsts outnumbered those for his return 3:1.
yup 34 against his return vs. 14 for his return.

I hope the against party prevail.

Is Nik the official Dennifloss spokesperson or what?
WTF is the point of a lifetime ban if a few years down the road when not many remember what happened, and you have gotten your popularity back, you can just come back?

I realize this, I just hope floss hasn't gotten to Anands ear by chance. His words are sweet.... sweet and manipulative like SATANS!!! :Q
Perhaps i can help with your confusion . . . if you can answer my related question, you will also discover your own answer:Originally posted by: Insane3D

Convicts "accept" their lifetime sentence and then work for their parole. So, can you answer me two questions? First, didn't DF accept the lifetime ban? If so, then why should he be allowed back?

Seems cut and dry to me...DF accepted lifetime ban, not a few years until it blows over ban...
