Should Dennilfloss be reinstated

This stickied thread points out one of the issues, why should Dennil be allowed back if discussion of allowing other permabanned users isn't even allowed?

Only certain members are allowed the appearance of a democratic vote or the luxury of a popular opinion?

If the mods want to unban him just do it, don't pretend that it depends on popular opinion, because if popular opinion is a criteria for unbanning Dennil, it should be extended to others.

IIRC, Dennil has an active life in other forums like Braodband Reports etc, what's so special about the one he sh1t on in a very calculating, painstaking manner.

This whole thing happened before I even started lurking, but I agree. IMO, if the mods aren't willing to let users return who were permabanned for much less, then I don't see why they're entertaining the thought of letting Dennilfloss come back...

Wow, this thread brings back a lot of old timers and lots of memories. I certainly miss reading threads from the old times as I can still remember the really old days before fusetalk even. Definetly better than 95% of the crap out here now days. ahh well enough reminiscing.

On the topic of Dennifloss, I believe that he should stay banned. The moderators dealt out punishment and he accepted it. Having read posts from him on other messages boards I can see that he isn't that bad of a guy, but again he accepted the punishment given to him. Therefore he should stay gone from this board at least.

There are many other boards for him to visit and post. That is my two cents. I guess I will go back to lurking for now until something good comes up. Take care.

If he is active in other forums, then he's obviously found a place for himself... why would he want to come back anyways? I certainly know if i pulled something like him, and got found out by all my 'friends' and everybody i knew, i wouldn't want to return.

To be honest, I really do not care if that nutjob comes backunder his name or not. I never really cared for his posts, almost each and every one seemed to be so full of crap. I never really understood why so many people liked him.

That was definelty a different time and place.

I will tell you this, if he is let back in, every time he posts I will call BS. Bet that gets me banned

I view the purpose of ATOT as being for random information and entertainment, and the other forums for being for assistance (P&N aside). My feeling is that Dennil is pretty entertaining, and I'd be interested in seeing him come back for that reason alone.

Everybody on here is responsible for their own reactions to others, how much they trust others, etc. If you choose to get wrapped up in the internet world to the degree that stories like Dennils (or Tomato's, or Luvly's, or syringer's...) affect you greatly, then you took that risk yourself. If Dennil doesn't come back, then the forums will probably be a bit less entertaining than it otherwise would be.

On a side note, I don't think he posts here under any other names. None of the current posters have his same style.

Paulson shouldn't have been let back in, either, but obviously he made friends with a mod or something.
He was banned for incessant neffing, and when he came back, he neffed just as much. But instead of ridiculous posts for no reason, he posted acting like he was helping, like in a thread that asked how to do something on the AT Forums, he'd reply something like "ck forum rules" or "PM a mod", etc.
Simple, very short answers and lots of them, done solely for post count.
Maybe he's great now, but that's exactly what he did immediately after he was reinstated.

He did NOT, however, lead everyone on ATOT on the emotional rollercoaster that Dennilfloss did.
The situations are not in any way similar, other than they were both banned, and one was let back.
