So we agree?
80plus is just that..no more and no less.....and has no bearing on quality or workmanship!!!
Cool!! Thanks!!

You cannot get to high efficiency without some DECENT PARTS/DESIGN FOR EFFICIENCY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

You still have not answered my question.....
Prove to me with facts that in order to have a high efficient PSU you must have descent parts......you can`t so you resort to talking in circles.....

Who needs to talk in circles, the proof is in the cheap psu with low efficiency. Very sad you try to add mindless scores to nothing. You're just a 5 year old child.

All of this back and forth verbal abuse needs to stop. Take it to PM's if you must continue.

I didn't even realize all of this was happening in this thread

Anyway, appreciate the feedback guys! I'll probably end up with the Corsair 520 unless someone feels that I shouldn't.

I'm just passing through reading about the exciting thing that is 80+ PSU's and noticed the argument. Without really having ever taken apart a PSU (except to replace a fan) I still think your statment about getting to high efficiency requires decent parts is pretty blanket.

It might be correct or it might not, but you don't know that. As people all-ready mentioned a company pays so much $ and submits a psu for testing. This does not mean they did not hand pick it or that the unit barely passed. They could use parts that are made for high efficiency but suck at everything else just to get that rating.

Ok, on my way out again. ciao!

Problem is that you missed every other comment where I mentioned good efficiency does not guarantee good dc output or other aspects of a psu. And your point is exactly what I'm saying, they used parts made for high efficiency. That's better than crap at least. Doesn't say anything about the rest of the psu.
