To each their own I guess. We test drove a 3 series last year. The leather in our Forester feels better than that crap. Plus, it seemed less breathable than leather. I'd rather have cloth. If you do ED and get the base model with manual trans it's only about $62
And no we stuck with sensatech. It feels more soft and would be easier to clean
The deal is done. Ordered a euro delivery m235i in Estoril Blue.
The S3 is still like 10k more isn't it? If you're leasing, Audi has horrible rates compared to BMW I've found. Not sure on the S3 motor, but the 228 is under-rated based on some baseline dynos that are out there.
I think BMW under states the new motors a lot, based on a few reports some people are seeing as high as 315rwhp on the 335i. It should be closer to 290rwhp with drive train loss.
I bought an M4A2. Pretty happy with it. Lots of fun, looks cool, and reliable.
Audi under states as well. The current S4 is rated at 333 and most are coming in at around 410. It's common for both brands.
Between the two vehicles I'd go S3 but I've driven one and there increidbly fun. Very much like an E46 M3 in driving characteristics and the engine is just beautiful.
Did you read the thread? Price points man.You were considering an M4, but ended up with a 235i

I've actually seen several user reviews comparing the e46 m3 to the m235i. It seems the m235i slightly edges out the e46 but everyone prefers the e46. I would too but numbers don't lie.
Plus finding a gently used e46 is damn hard.
What doesn't make sense? I can't afford an M4. The m235i puts up similar performance numbers to an e46 m3.
You're don't make sense, lol.
damn now i'm thinking we shouldve got the 228i and saved some cash. still haven't gotten our allocation yet.
if you wanted to save cash, you wouldn't have bought a BMW to begin with.
har har har. we're getting married and want a souvenir from our honeymoon. and we liked BMW's entry level cars more than the other German manufacturers.
