I'm currently running 520W Modular Corsair PSU with following setup:

i7 920 Nehalem
Asus P6T
XFX GeForce 9800GT
Corsair 520W Modular
Corsair DDR3 1333 6GB (3x2)
Antec Three Hundred
Samsung 22x SATA LightSribe
WD 300GB VeloRaptor SATA
WD 2 x 320GB Blue SATA

It's running fine.

I'm planning to add 3 more HDs to my system
WD 2 x 640GB Black SATA
WD 250GB Black SATA.

Will this PSU be enough to carry all this including (6 SATA drives) or should I consider to upgrade to 620, 650 or even 700~
Also PSU beeing modular is great and neat but where can I get additional SATA cables for my additional HDs? or should I go regular PCU not modular and I won't have this problem?

The eXtreme Power Supply Calculator tells me that I won't need more than 430W but I'm not sure that completely true?

Thanks all in advance...

You should be fine. Your current setup uses probably 350-375 from the wall I'd imagine, less if the i7 is at stock speeds. Adding 3 more HD will probably add 40w or less to that load. To be safe let's assume 425w. Divide that by ~80% efficiency and it's using ~350w DC. Still easily in the right range

Thank you yh125d It's nice not to spend additional money after spending quite a bit on the new build. The only problem right now that 520W model came with 4 SATA cables vs. 620W model has 8 and this is what I need.
I send email to Corsair asking if they can send me additional SATA cables (I need 2 with 4 connectors) and if they will send it I'll stick with current PSU.

EDIT: I ended up ordering 620W which should get here buy the end of this week. Since I bought my current PSU less than 1 week ago I will go back to Micro Center and return it. The difference will be $30 - not too bad. If I end up getting extra cables from Corsair for free, well I will have extra cables if I ever need them.
In case If I want to overclock my I7 to something higher or add additional GPU card later on, this will be handy...

Yeah chances are Corsair will send you some cable for free. They tend to do that alot, sending extra pci-e cables and whatnot. Great company
