You know what's lame about room-mates eating your food though........
I've always had that common simple rule about, no prob. if you eat my food - just replaced it, ect. This solves everything......if people held themselves to it, but they don't. To make things worse, hasn't everybody in this situation noticed that room-mates almost always eat your food when your not there? I mean it's not like your hanging out there and they grab a box of snacks of yours and eat them in front of you. It's more like you come home and notice that 90% of the new box of whatever is missing, even worse if you haven't even opened it first. That in itself just lends credibility to the fact that they are doing something wrong, by being sneaky about it. What's even worse than that is the fact that they somehow feel by leaving 10% of whatever they ate, they can somehow always use the defense that 'they did not eat the whole thing'. I guess that way they don't feel the need to replace it?
I mean, shi*, if your going to eat most of my food, just finish the damn thing off - leaving a crumb or a few chips in the bag and putting it back on the shelf is just rude, it's like a fu** you!
I bet some of you reading this do this same thing. Man, get a clue!

(BTW: Brtspears2, just give them some of their own medicine. Stop keeping your food in places where they can get it and start to eat all of your room-mates food. When they finally confront 'you', just tell them 'what? should I replace it or do you not want me to eat your stuff?'. What ever the answer is, say 'Gee, I thought that was the plan?' in a sarcastic manner)
