Should I get a Chinese takeaway for dinner?

Probably, but then again I didn't give the response much time or thought, and quickly carried on with my drooling over the thought of chomping down on a nice delicious Chinese takaway meal... which is imminent I might add.

Well, it could be a translation issue. In Taiwan, there is a bbq sauce that the locals call satay sauce because it is similar to the malay satay, may even be malay in origin, so maybe he's talking about that.

I had 'real' Chinese once, we scoured the menu for a while looking for the closest things to Sesame Chicken or Sweet and Sour Pork. Unrelated, my favorite source for the former was closed down due to health violations shortly after I moved away.

All this talk of Chinese food convinced me to go out for dinner. The place we go is the best in town, and IMO, it's the best Chinese food I've ever had anywhere. Apparently the local Asian community thinks so as well. It's always full of large groups and families of Asians. The entire menu is printed in English and Chinese.
