Should I go back to 440BX?

I have a ApolloPro133A right now, with PC133 SDRAM and other specs listed below. I wanted to get an ABIT BM6 based on 440BX that has PCI/4 Divider as well as AGPCLK adjust that allows me to run PCI and AGP at spec so I can run 133 fsb for my processor. I wanted to know if this is a good idea for an increase in performance/stability. Also, is it even possible with what I have now? I just want to change the MB.

If I'm not mistaken it's impossible to run AGP at spec when at 133 FSB on a BX mobo, it has always been before at least.

The BX chipset does not support a 1/2 divider for the AGP bus so at 133MHz you will still be running the AGP bus at 89MHz... far beyond the speced 66MHz.

The BX chipset only supports 1/1 and 2/3 dividers for the AGP. Numerous BX boards support the 1/4 PCI divider needed to run the PCI bus in spec at 133MHz FSB though.

yes, if u are tempted to go backwards, i suggest buying a high-quality 486SX mobo and adjust your cpu to fit.

Get an 815 board. BX boards o'c to 133 FSP will run the AGP port out of spec. I have an Abit BX6-2 and my AGP Leadtek GeForce2 MX won't run stabley at 133 FSB. I had to bump it down to 129 FSB or I would crash in 3d games.
