Should I look for a better job?

I am a 20 year old working for a company that makes major profit. I am a computer operator. I was thinking about moving to Phoenix AZ to look for a better paying job. See, I make 8.80 an hour but I just got a 80 cent raise yesterday. But I just found out my work put a cap on raises so I can only now get a three percent raise a year. I have no college education but I am very smart at problem solving and w/ computers. But I honestly think I won?t be able to find an entry level computer job in Phoenix. What do you guys think, should I stay and get paid next to nothing, or move on and try to make a few more bucks more an hour. Your suggestion is appreciated.

same boat as me... 3 percent per year, and there is a salary cap for my job.. you should find a better job

I agree.

You're at the beginning of your working caree (welcome to the next 45 years of your life). Don't limit your earning potential by not furthing your education. I doubt in this day and age a non-educated person can hope to begome independantly wealthy on good look and charm alone.

If you have a job lined up, then make the move, but don't move just because you think the jobs are there. That's how some people become homeless.

You should be looking for a way to get a college education! There are very few good jobs for people with only a HS diploma. And the ones that remain are moving to Mexico....

You could learn welding , plumbing or pipe fitting . Those jobs pay much more than what you are getting . That is if you dont plan on going to college .
