Should I OC my HD 4890?

Has anyone been able to squeeze more juice out of their 4890? I've heard these are great for overclocking. What have 4890 owners been able to get their cards to? What's the procedure for getting a stable OC? Other than enabling fan control, I've never messed with the GPU or Memory Clock.

normally i advise against it

in *this* case, 4890 starts to really take off when it is Overclocked
- my stock Diamond HD4890-xOC is barely much more than the 4870 - +10-15% more performance; overclocked it is a Geforce [GTX280] Killer

Because it runs cool when overclocked and the FPS performance increase is *substantial* IN GAMES
- unlike with 4870

Read the article on the front page to see if the benefits of overclocking are worth it too you. They show the percentage increase per resolution, per game, per GPU clock, per mem clock. That's should clear up the benefits. If you are worried about warranty, you should be ok as long as you back the clocks back down after you get an artifact and pay attention to your temps.
