Should I overclock this cpu?

Ok i have a AMD T-Bird 1.1ghz witha Thermaltake Volcano 6cu with a 80mm fan on it.

THe idle temp right now is 46c [ 80mm fan running at lowest rpm ]
case temp is at 21c

BIOSTAR m7vkd
512SDRAM ( 1 stick of crucial, 2 sticks of generic )
300watt sparkle psu

Now in bios i head to the Frequency/Clock Control

and in CPU Host/PCI/Speed Spec

I get the following options

Default [ comp running on this now ]
100/33mhz/-0.5%
100/33mhz/+-0.5%
102/34mhz/Off
104/35mhz/Off
106/35mhz/Off
107/36mhz/Off
110/37mhz/Off


You guys think I should try and O/C this cpu?

But I figured I shouldnt try to o/c this comp because of the random reboots im getting now for no apperent reason.

well Any comp can get benefit from OC, but you should try to fix the stability issue before OC'n in. Otherwise you will never know whether its the OC causing a reboot and instability, or if its another issue.

NOT until you sort out that Idle temp!! My TBird running at full load @ 1.57Ghz doesn't get that hot. But it also sounds like a hair dryer....

O/C is nothing w/o stability. I'll keep the stability.

ok i replaced the 80mm fan with a 60mm fan and the cpu is at 40c idle. My o/s is windowsXP pro, the comp is running stable the whole night now.

Also suppose I try and o/c this com to which setting should i put it on? Im going to build a new comuter this summer so why not and brake this one?
