Should i quit my job?

Everyday I go into the little rip off of a computer store. and everyday i have to put up with a greek(no racism intended) but i have to put up with him everyday clean the windows. do this do that i fix the computers he tells the owner he did them and i didnt do anything. i get paid USD$6.00 tax free and at taco bell i can make USD$7.25 with taxes which would still be more than 6.00 i am having trouble deciding which i should do because i honestly dont know. anandtech forums members i ask your help.

Home Despot will pay you better... not a fun or terribly secure job but the hourly is better.

If you think you'll be happier at Taco Bell, by all means give it a try. Neither of these jobs sounds like lifetime careers; no reason to stick with it if it makes you miserable.

You'll just find a reason to complain about the new job. Washing windows > serving tacos imo plus you are getting "computer tech experience" right now that can be useful later down the road if that field interests you.

Getting paid under the table can cause ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS.

If he gets audited YOU could be on the hook for the taxes I am going to assume you are not planing on paying

no im turning 18 in a week. washing windows at my work is < serving tacos i actually dont want to go into computers. this was a job to get through high school i want to do advertisement and film with my cousin because i have fun making movies and wouldnt mind doing like commercials or small movies or tv shows

i graduate this year. but im taking post secondary college classes so i dont have to pay as many taxes. i think ill quit this week when i get my pay check hehe or just stop showing up i technically am not an employee

Since you are almost done with HS, I would try to hang in there till you find something better in the meantime. Quiting now and have no job line up and finding a job to work with your current schedule will be a conflict.

When I was in HS, I was working at a computer consultant job @$6 then eventually got to $12 in half a year. How long have you been there?
