Cal 166 ive been there almost a year now and still the same pay. i asked for a raise today as suggested and they said no

I'd rather go to work and be ragged on then go to work and bust my butt. I can promise you that if you go to work for Taco Bell that you'll be working. I doubt you have to hustle that much where you're at.

If you can find a job that nets you the same amount of money but you don't have to work too hard, then take it.

Most jobs here that high school kids and college kids (who can't get anything else cause they slacked) get are places like fast food, department, and grocery stores pay $5.15-$6.50/hr starting. I suppose that range will change once minimum wage gets raised later this year (or next or whatever). It took me 3 years at my old job to move from $5.25 starting up to $7.25 a while before I quit. Then it was 1.5 years of university, and now I have a co-op making $14.50/hr. W00t!

But then again, the COLA is very low, and out of all my peers pretty much only those into nursing are making as much as I am (I'm guessing).

but i mean 6 an hour is weak to be living on anyway. i can get a job at the water board for about 13.50 an hour but i have to be a student in college and i havent gotten accepted anywhere yet

I bet you could get a better job then Taco Bell. I would get a waiter job, you would get paid min wage, but you make up for it in tips. I hardly get doen with a night making less then 15/hr$
