I've had stuff stolen, didn't expect to get it back or the person to be caught. You know what? It happens...I had my stereo system stolen in the dorms cause my roommate left the door open. Other itmes when I had stuff stolen, I knew who it was and I stole it back...and got a little payback through pranks and such...I personally would have never reported them....
Sure, if your neighbor is getting robbed, you report that...but you have to be sure he is getting robbed...

I just hate people that report bullsh1t....I've been ticketed in a couldesac in front of my own house for parking my car the wrong way...neighbor reported me...thats just crap...just come tell me you don't like it parked the wrong way....

In my current house, we throw lots of parties, but we always let our neighbors know and tell them if its too loud or anything to come let us know...well all of them but the ones behind are civil about it...in all, we've had 1 complaint from the other neighbors, and we turned the music down for htem...they never complained again about htat party or any party after that...now the family behind us insists on not coming over and letting us know that our music is too loud and they just go and report us...we know this becuase the cops tell us this...well anyways, EVERY party we have we knock on their door and let them know if its TOO loud come tell us to turn it down or call us....every single time they just call the cops...the cops break the party up, take the beer...end of party...but everything could be solved without this crap...this is why people that report things really piss me off....eventually if you're doing something really wrong the law will catch up to you...sure if its murder or something huge you report it...but the rest is crap....thats my 2 cents

<< you know what jackass?!... i don't have any illegal software and I AM DOING WITHOUT. why don't you open your closet door. DO YOU KNOW WHERE OR HOW THIS PERSON GOT THIS SOFTWARE.? >>

I don't know where or how he got it, but it doesn't matter. The copies he's selling are pirated, most likely on recordable CD. Read the whole thread and you will discover that the original poster has said the seller has responded affirtively when he asked him whether it was pirated with something like "what they don't know won't hurt".

<< MAYBE HE'S A DISTRIBUTOR OUT SOLICITING A PRODUCT TO YOUNG PEOPLE WITH LESS MONEY AND LESS TIME FOR THE FBI,. they do have something that is LEGAL sometimes and maybe he works his ass off to put that money in his pocket. >>

If he's a distributor, he should know better than the average people and his business license is bye bye once he's caught. Working his ass off to commit his crime doesn't improve his credibility. Cry me a freakin river.

<< I SUPPOSE YOU ALSO BELIEVE IN OUR GOVT., and have no empathy for others because you,re a perfect soul in a perfect world.? >>

I have no empathy for criminals making other people work and pocketing other people/corporation's money in their own pocket.

<< I am not a thief and I actually hate a theif and a liar, but I live in the real world and I don't feel sorry for those BIG companies (KINDA LIKE ENRON), who screw the real people working there anyway while they all get their money no matter what. >>

Whether you I feel sorry or not for a company is another matter. I simply WILL NOT approve of making some strangers work, then take the money THEY earned.

<< If I had the opportunity to get good software for a good price, I would. I do not steal, and I have been stolen from, but like it or not, I believe there is a difference in how it affects one individual from a large corporation. >>

If you knowingly buy a pirated software, you don't have a legal right to use it and you're purchasing a stolen intellectural property.

<< I don't think they're losing any sleep over it and they'll make enough money to give an inheritance to several generations of grandkids. now stop being such an asshole. I'm sure the shoe never has or never will be on any feet of anyone you know or love. >>

Stop trying to make excuses for selling pirated software. Crime is a crime no matter how much money the victim has.

In many cases, direct confrontations can be dangerous and the offender is more likely to listen to the authority, therefore some people might opt to report it to an authority.

So if the police was called once, don't you get the message to not crank up the music in middle of the night again? . If I was your neighbor, I'd tell you to turn it down a few parties, but if you don't get the message any subsequent loud party will be reported to the police.

The excuses people make for theft is simply amazing. The lengths they go to to compromise their ethics is astounding.

<< Alright, so maybe I misused the word vigilante...I just really hate people that take it upon themselves to report crap...like one day it was 3 in the morning...and there was one of those speed measurement thingies on the road...so I decided to see how fast I could get going...I got up to about 85...some guy is way behidn me...drives up at 95...takes down my plates and reports me for speeding. Anotehr time a few friends and I were watching a drive in movie...theres this highway that runs about 20 feet to the right and we were o nteh other side of the railing. Like 20 of us were lying on our cars...some dumbass lady decides to call the cops and report that there was a shooting and 20 kids were lying dead on their cars...to make a long story short 20 cops descended on us and frisked us all...all we were doing was watching a damn drivein movie on the other side of the freeway. Sure, I think you should report thing such as murder or rape or something huge...but little crap like this when you KNOW they're going to get busted...why? Its pointless and you should mind your own business >>

I am minding my own business. Theft costs consumers billions of dollars every year in increased retail prices and insurance costs.

Moreover, by condoning and allowing one type of theft, we open the door to all kinds of theft.

Maybe you should think past your own selfish little world and see that your actions can and DO affect others.

Get a copy of everything he is selling, then resell it at lower prices.

Put him right out of business!
