Ok up front, yes this is a semi-motherboard (more memory) question and yes I know there is a motherboard forum. I have posted this under P4P800 thread but no answers as of yet. So please be kind.
All my parts just arrived and since I am going from 450Mhz to 2.8Ghz I am kind of excited to get this going but since I have waited so long what is another week!
Question: I ordered 2 sticks of CMX512-3200C2 which will work most likely at the start or with changing the memory timings at the most. Asus site dosen't offical support it yet (I ordered before they updated there site) and Corsair offically recommends CMX512-3500C2 and Asus offically supports it. This is from Newegg so exchanging shouldn't be any big deal. So should I just work with what I got or get the offical stamp of approval?
My main concern is for stability not for the speed and I am fine with the extra cost
I not sure of the issues but who knows maybe Asus will offical fix the bugs if possible and next week support it these new chipset board drive me crazy lol
