Should I sell the X5 or the M5?

damn.....2003 M5? i'd kill for one of those! i could care less that it'll be a collecters item, it's just simply the pimpest car out there right now. from a realistic point of view, i think i'd take that car over anything else available in the market. the M5 is the perfect mix of luxery and performance.

Test drove the FX45 and it's basically a X5 jr. Not nearly as fun.

If you can afford that much...why not custom tuned rather than stock?....I'm almost gonna asume that most of your personal finances are earned/won rather than inherited.

first I admire windogg and how much he has accomplished in his life expecially for someone his age.

Now on to cars.

I'd get a nice daily drive to handle the various weather conditions on boston, but keep one of them for your fun driver

I'd have to agree with everyone who says to ditch the X5 and get something smaller for a daily driver. The Subaru suggestion was a good one I think, the AWD will be good in the winter and a WRX can be a lot of fun, though size-wise you might be more interested in the Outback H6 3.0. While Subaru's 3.0 litre flat six won't come close to the X5, it ought to have more than enough power for the commute, plus it will definitely be less thirsty.

I'd go with the crowd, and say get rid of the X5, but I don't think you would be happy with anything else currently on the market. I read somewhere that Lexus will be making a Hybred RX330 next year. I'd wait for that.

The X5 4.6is is a SEXY mofo. If you had a 3.0 or 4.4, I'd definitely say get rid of the X5, but now it's a tougher choice. Since I appreciate the look of a good SUV more, I'd get rid of the M5, but even that's a tough choice.

If gas mileage is killing you, 16mpg is better than my 3.2L that gets 12/15mpg. I will never get rid of it until its on its last leg... or when I can afford a 4.6is.

Like someone said, it doesn't matter if it's a daily driver, you shouldn't be worrying about gas mileage and what it's costing you. You'll never be driving that M5 to its fullest potential on the Boston roads... am I right ?
