I'd sell the X5 and get a WRX Wagon as a daily driver/stuff hauler.

Test drove the FX45 and it's basically a X5 jr. Not nearly as fun. WindoggOriginally posted by: Rent Trade the X5 for a more "economical" Infinity FX45. Stuff the remaining cash into your matress to sleep on

The M5 is a 2003 and the X5 is a 2002 4.6is. Both cars are almost identical. The M5 is a great performer but driving stick in Boston traffic really sucks. Plus I can't really drive it in the snow so its garaged for most of the year. The 4.6is is nice but it really chugs down the gas (16MPG). So as a daily commuter it's not 100% practical.
Perhaps something like the new Toyota Prius as a daily driver?

If gas mileage is killing you, 16mpg is better than my 3.2L that gets 12/15mpg. I will never get rid of it until its on its last leg... or when I can afford a 4.6is.
Like someone said, it doesn't matter if it's a daily driver, you shouldn't be worrying about gas mileage and what it's costing you. You'll never be driving that M5 to its fullest potential on the Boston roads... am I right ?
