Should I spring for Blue Tooth now?

I am considering the $280 Asus A620 Pocket PC. A Blue Tooth enabled version will run me $60 more. The question is, should I buy Blue Tooth now for my Pocket PC or should I get the non-BT version and upgrade with a Compact Flash Blue Tooth card later down the road?

I don't have a Blue Tooth enabled cell phone or a Blue Tooth network at home, but I like the idea of accessing the web through Blue Tooth enabled devices or transferring all my contacts to a BT-phone someday, if I ever decide to get one.

If you don't get it you'll want it later, and it probably won't work as good with SD/CF. Just get it.

Another option would be to go with HP's H1945 offering.
You are basically getting the same pocket pc for a lower price.

HP H1945 Blue Tooth is going for ~$250 shipped, while the
Asus A620BT is going for $350 shipped

Notable differences though:
- Samsung 266MHz processor on the HP vs Intel 400Mhz on the Asus
- 64MB memory (HP) vs 64MB+32MB (Asus)
- Secure Digital memory (HP) vs Compact Flash II (Asus)
- HP has a smaller footprint, but a non-standard headphone jack (adapter included)
- Asus has better battery life. 1300mAH Lithium batteries vs 900mAH on HP

Both Pocket PCs, though, should function & perform the SAME. The question you have to ask yourself now is if the faster processor and the ability to use CF cards (microdrive? ) worth the $100 premium over the HP equivalent.

But since you already own a 64MB CF card and plan to purchase a digital camera around the CF format (S400 or A75 in April) it might be wise to stick with one format of flash media in order to save money.
