D2 was great fun until you finished it and started doing it all over again. Try some other games that are free like the aofrementioned: RTCW:ET (Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory) or America's Army. There are also Open Beta's available for MMORPG's scattered across the net, shouldn't take long to find one you want to play.

Failing that, buy Guildwars as it's free to play online (like D2).

Ive already beaten most of the new games... never got around to beating D2. Guess I'll reinstall it...

I'm guessing the OP is talking about single player D2, since he said he never beat it? Online is a whole different kettle of fish...

Go for it, be sure to play it with the most recent 1.11 update. Harder but more fun. Easiest to get through all difficulties with a Skelly/Corpse Explosion Necro or a Meteor/Frozen Orb Sorceress. Head over to Diabloii.net forums for some good guides and tips. They have a thriving Single Player community there too.

You should only play D2 if you're going to play it online. You can still run through as single player but then at least you'll be able to trade items you find for items you need...

i liked D2 but i could never sit there and play it continuously for years like some people did. once you beat it, its the same crap over and over again.

D2..... so much fun for so many afternoons..... what ever happened to my player files?..... i wonder.... but if i could find them... with the internet connection I have now... I would play online like back then....

Stay away from the dark side... unless you really have a LOT of time to kill.

In my dictionary it is one of the greatest games I have ever played...(although I didnt like repeating the levels again)

I played from 1.08 to 1.10 online and after 1.09d it was filled with annoying kids, cheats, bugged items (iths). Haven't played it since and never will. I still play D1 (with Hellfire) occasionally. I played hte trial of Guildwars and didn't like it, played 3 months of both CoH & WoW and found both to be boring and repetetive.

You might want to look up guides for the character type that suits you best on D2. Just have fun and ignore the thousands of stupid little brats on there.
