Should I switch cellular providers and, if so, to who?

I never have connection issues, but my calling habits have utstripped my plan and in order to change it I will have to committ for another 2 years... :|

Who has the best deal going at the moment? I live in NJ if that matters...

I'm on Sprint's SERO plan. Read the first page of this thread. Essentially you're looking at 500 minutes, unlimited PowerVision (i.e. unlimited data), for $30 a month plus taxes. And if you have some time on your hands you can haggle with Sprint's customer service reps during the 30 day trial period and get free perks like unlimited text messaging, 6pm nights, etc.

I'm using a 700wx with SERO and the data speeds are awesome. Not broadband, but definitely faster than dialup. Also, Sprint has data roaming agreements with AllTel, Verizon, etc. From Colorado to Maine I haven't found a major service area yet where I couldn't surf the net.

What good is a great deal if you get crappy reception in your own home?

What do your friends, family and co-workers have? Are they satisfied with the coverage, phones and customer service?

Sprint SERO has an awesome deal but it requires a 2 year committment, as do most cell phone providers.

I'm very happy with verizon and I rarely have issues with their network. It's great to be able to travel and have a signal everywhere.

Sprint is bad bad bad. I have to call them every single month for problems with our bill. Not to mention poor reception in rural Minnesota. They blatantly lie. I had a CSR tell me I would get $150 rebate on a phone, he even wrote it in the notes. I call again since I hadn't received the rebate, the man says no, it's only $50. I said no, your add and CSR told me $150, "Well I see it in the notes, but I don't think its right. $50 take it or leave it." I didn't even get the $50 rebate. F*ckers.

Had Verizon for a couple years now and overall have been happy with them.

Just today I started their Mobile Broadband service (which I'm on now) and so far its amazing. It's nice to be able to try it out for 30 days before I make a final decision to keep it or not.

I have cingular and like them, and with the iphone at $300 for the 4gb it's looking even better to me.
