Should i take my chances with a 1.33gig from newegg, or buy a Pretested 1gig@1.5-1.6?

I don't know what i should do. Should i get :

1.33 gig from Newegg and hope that it'll hit 1.5-1.6
pretested 1 gig that will hit 1500-1600

their prices are basically the same, but as of now, i don't know what i should do. i would rather go with the 1.33, since the oc isnt as great, and i suppose the cpu wouldnt be as stressed as the 1 gig. but i run the risk of getting a dud if i buy from newegg. what should i do?

if the price is same I would definitely go for 1.33 chip, it should do 1.5 easily.

Me, I'd look at the 1.33- first point is, despite being pretested doesn't mean Your board will go that high, your cooling will probably be different, etc. Also, that takes out the fun of finding each chips "natural limits"

Actually, to tell the truth, I'd look at a 1.2 - and push for a 133 FSB

really, hmm, let me take a look at the oc database.

from the looks of it, 1.2's generally hit 1.4, whereas the 1.33 hit 1.5. i think i'll still go with the 1.33, since i see that there have been numerous times when it did hit higher than 1.5. i can't say the same about the 1.2.

with a good P/S any AYHJA 1.33 should hit 1.6+ otherwise 1.5 is an average point for the 1.33 of any batch. I think you'd have better luck with the 1.33.
