You'd probably get more bang for your buck with Pascal. Please don't buy the GTX 970 if you're just gonna return it later due to how the memory configuration is.
Don't really care for the memory issue, my resolution is at 1440x900, so i'm not really gonna be using all that VRAM up.

right? 760 could probably max every game with a tiny res like that. What games is your card struggling at at such a low resolution?

I'm not struggling, I just want to upgrade to use DSR.

I would invest whatever money for the GPU ($340.00 / 970?) into a bigger monitor. Even a 760 with lower settings on a bigger monitor would look better than whatever higher settings a 970 on a smaller monitor would with DSR. More immersion with size, more viewing comfort and better productivity.

I think you'd be better served getting a higher resolution monitor than spending money just for DSR. Just my opinion though.
DSR will require as much GPU horsepower as the target resolution.
ie 4K DSR is going to require the same GPU horsepower as driving a true 4k monitor. For newer games, even SLI 980s can struggle with that.
Enabling FSAA gives you most of the same benefits, though not all.
For the cost of a 970, I would just go get a 1440p monitor and be done with it. Your 760 will struggle on some games @ 1440p but you'll have a reason to upgrade the GPU, later if cost is a big factor.
I'm using it for games that have bad AA, like Dead Space.
Before I upgraded to a R9 290 I was running a GTX 760 @1440p and it wasn't a bad experience at all if you are clever with settings and lay off heavy MSAA it was very playable with most titles.
I understand but running a higher native resolution is going to have a similar effect only better.
That's @1600p.

Well, wait till new cards are released, unless you want to play at higher resolutions and now.So I guess I should stick to my current GPU then?
Keep an eye on the used market, I'm pretty sure you could snag one (970) at around $250. Lots of people dissatisfied with the memory fiasco of the 970. Use it to your advantage, just be patient. And of course, 770 isn't a worthy upgrade for ya. DSR requires tons of GPU power.I've been looking to upgrade my GPU for awhile now that I got an i5, and recently Nvidia came out with DSR.
My question is, should I sell my 760 for a 970 or just upgrade to 770?
