Should I upgrade? (x58 to x79)

I found a guy selling this for 450 dollars http://kansascity.craigslist.org/sop/5044289848.html

I'm currently running a x5650@4.2ghz and was thinking this would be a nice upgrade since I'm running a ga-x58-ud7 and 6gigs of ram alongside it.

But does anyone know if this would give any sort of meaningful gains in terms of gaming and some basic video editing, as well as being able to use sata 6gb ports instead of the shit marvell controller.

The 3930K should be a decent upgrade if you decide to buy.

For those goals, with a $450 budget, I'd go LGA1150. (Or wait three months for LGA1151.)

Keep your 5650 setup unless you move to a Haswell system.
