Should I wait?

hello! I finally completed my pc list, now I am waiting for the prices to go down this summer. Should I wait for like a month? Or will it not make a big difference if I buy my parts now? I heard usually there's a major release on graphic cards during summer, so it should brings down the price of graphic card i want. Any comments are welcomed. Thanx you!

well, my main concern is about the pricing on video card and mother board. Don't know if they will drop in a month or not. I am not too worry about the ram price since i know the guys who own the shop where i am getting my parts from, he will give me some discount.

i dunno, the price for G4 ti4800 is lowest around where i live

You might aswell buy it now. The only thing I can see that could a big price drop should be the video card. You can almost get a Radeon 9500/9600 Pro for that price btw. The cpu is already dirt cheap, it really is the uber value cpu right now.

But in the end only you know the answer to your question. If you don't mind waiting, then why not.

hey thanx JZilla! I think I will buy Ti4200 instead, which will save me about $42. I am not building a system for hardcore gaming. This is when my Xbox comes to place. This computer will be used in my dorm this fall. So, I am trying to save some money on the system, and buy a 17 inch LCd screen.

going for Radeon 9500/9600 Pro is really tempting, I would have to add extra extra $50 + tax (tax is 14% here!!) more than ti4800se, and it's over my original budget for a graphic card.

I think the 4800 is just a 4400 with agp. Or is that the 4800SE, don't know but the 4200 is a good card. And it stills has plenty of life in it, especially if you run without af/aa.

OMG OMG WTF.

Sales tax/vat is 25% here. Income can get as high as 60%. I pay 39% in income, and I am only working parttime and am in the lowest income group.
