He didn't do it to the Queen of England but does it to a Saudi King? Pretty sad if you ask me.. I know the first thing that will probably be mentioned is Bush's kissing of the King.. which I also think was inappropriate, but its pretty clear Bush did not think he was below the King.. but taken in context, with Obama apologizing for all of America's failings.. this seems pretty pathetic.

OK with me as long as Obama doesn't hold his hand and skip through the flower garden with him(like the last one did).

Actually Bush Sr. gave a slight head bow to the Emperor of Japan while he was president, and he was excoriated for it.

A full bow to the waist is not a gesture of respect. It is one of subservience.

This isn't a really big deal in itself, just YAOG (yet another Obama gaffe) which goes to show just how completely inexperienced and over his head he is.

I don't want my president bowing to anyone, especially not the king of Saudi Arabia. I consider it disrespectful to the office of POTUS. Obama should be equal with other heads of state, not bowing to them.

Royalty is a sexist, discriminatory, and vile system. Nobody should be 'bowed' to or acknowledged in such a fashion. The only time any inbred royal should be acknowledged at all is if they are the day to day leader of a nation. However, Obama should not have bowed to any inbred royal.

Furthermore, Obama should NOT have met the Queen of England. Meeting Gordon Brown would have been sufficient.

It's time that we tell these countries that having such outdated and inhumane systems are not tolerable. And we shouldn't humor their horrible practices.

Isn't that within "protocol?" Like addressing foreign military officers by their rank, even though they hold no authority as far as America is concerned. Or calling a Bishop "your excellency" even if you aren't a Catholic.

I agree Obama shouldn't have bowed. It was a stupid gaffe, but not a sign of any secret closeted Islam.
