Yeah, you twats got your priorities straight alright. :S

Ok, then lets discuss about how Obama is changing very little in Iraq. Surely if this war is as unjust and illegal as you say it was, you could criticize him for that?

Let's disucss how Obama NEVER invaded Iraq, wasn't FOR invading Iraq when the vote was up and is now stuck with the mess that GW and his cabal created for troops and diplomats.

That will be a fast fucking discussion, now won't it. Just shut your face before you embarrass yourself even more.

For some reason I picture you with as red-face fattie in front of a computer who throws things when people dont respect his opinion as fact.

"Just shut your face" ? Is that the kind of maturity they taught you in the armed forces?

It will be a really fast an moot discussion, since Obama wasn't in office at the time, and could not vote on it anyway.

Immaturity is one of the defining characteristics of the armed forces, hahaha.

as he said. But it's hardly moo since Obama gave an incredibly prescient speech when the vote was made, and it spelled out his philosophy on use of force.

I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.

The rest here: http://thegooddemocrat.wordpre...s-speech-on-iraq-2002/

That was 2002, when the Bush admin was telling us it'd all be over in a matter of weeks and that the war would pay for itself, that we'd be greeted as liberators, that they had weapons of mass destruction, etc.

Let me get this straight....

Are you saying that our White Housing is lying to us?

No, where did I say that?

"3. The white house is flat out lying when it says it wasn't a bow."

Is anyone else reading this or am I laughing here alone?

Are you so amazed that people that support Obama can still call out his press secretary for a bold faced lie?

Bud, it's ok, Bush isn't president anymore. We're allowed to dissent without being called traitors.

I'm surprised it doesn't bother you, I guess you are just expecting lies from the White House.

I'm not an Obama fan and I have very low expectations for this administration but this surprises me, not that he bowed but it's that blatant of a lie and if they lie about the stuff that's so obvious what exactly can you trust them on?

I've seen it and it certainly doesn't qualify as a formal bow. On several counts. First of all, a formal bow is done with both feet together, at a DISCREET distance. Like 6 feet. And it is a pronounced gesture.

Nor to I think it's an informal bow, or even a 'HOODIE BOW' as some have suggested. It was simply a warm greeting, and the King is known for his sense of humor and warmth, by the way. (No, I don't care for the Saudis, but they aren't all mother rapers and terrorists.)

It's definitely not a bow wow, a bow chow, or bow now.

What it is is right wingers in a circle jerk.

The video I saw showed Mr Obama shaking hands with a person who was sitting down. Try it. I do not think you can do it without at least slightly bending.

I can not get outraged over this. But then I am not looking for any opportunity, no matter how pointless, to smack Mr Obama around.

Nice try but it didn't go down like that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEUif1--r38 No sitting. No "slightly bending" - it was a bow. Hell, he even bent at the knee and his back leg went back....you know, like someone who it bowing.
Is it really that big of deal? maybe, maybe not but the response from the whitehouse and some apologists on the left have kept this story alive.

After reviewing the video and images of this, it certainly appears Obama bowed. I have no idea why, but perhaps it was just a gaffe, White House denials notwithstanding.

Whatever, he made a mistake, I'm sure it'll happen again. In the big picture, it doesn't strike me as a huge deal.

The 3.5 trillion dollar budget seems like a big deal to me too but the libs keep saying its not.. along with doubling of the debt, along with this.. NOTHING appears to be a big deal with Obama.

Remember when conservatives were as outraged when Bush was holding hands with the Saudi prince and kissing his cheek? Yeah i don't remember seeing the same level out outrage either.

The only big deal about this is the fact that the White House is lying about him making a bow.

They should have said nothing.

As you said it was most likely a screw up. You elect a young man with virtually no experience to the highest office in the country and you get these types of screw ups.

If anything it illustrates the amateurish fashion in which the White House is being run right now. Nothing they can't recover from though. Kennedy made screw ups early on too. Let's just hope that none of Obama's early screw ups lead to major problems later ala the Cuban Missile Crisis.

You can do a google search for a million videos or pictures of it. But should the President of the United States be bowing to ANY foreign leader? He didn't do it to the Queen of England but does it to a Saudi King? Seems to me to be sending the message that we are beneath the Saudi's.. also seems to fit with Obama's 'Blame America First' theme we saw in Europe.

Pretty sad if you ask me.. I know the first thing that will probably be mentioned is Bush's kissing of the King.. which I also think was inappropriate, but its pretty clear Bush did not think he was below the King.. but taken in context, with Obama apologizing for all of America's failings.. this seems pretty pathetic.

maybe you would have rather had him hold hands and kiss him on lips?
Which do you prefer?

I already addressed that. Liberals ripped Bush for it at the time.

Which of your banned accounts do you remember that time-frame from?

I'm going to have to agree with the Obama bashers on this one. Obama did make a diplomatic mistake in bowing to the Saudi king. Nothing compared to Bush's damn near treasonous defense of the Saudis in the wake of the 911 attacks but a mistake none-the-less and one I hope he doesn't repeat. The House of Saud are scum and no American citizen should bend to any royalty. Oh wait, that gets Obama off the hook.

Don't believe your lying eyes the White House said he didn't bow, in related news the Obama administration maintains they are not socialist but said they had no time to comment because they had other businesses to take over.

Pst, everyone is ignoring you....

Yeah, from the video you linked, it looks like Mr Obama bowed to the Saudi King.

I still can not get outraged over this.
