The White House completely bullshitting the public is not an issue?
Wow, you must not have minded the Iraq war then.

Find me a single administration in the history of this country that hasn't bullshitted the public about something or another. There are varying levels of bullshit, and some are just not worth caring about. Comparing this to lying about Iraq is just ridiculous.

Once again, the right seizes on the trivial, to fail to understand it and make a phony issue.
Bevasue it's not like there are actual issues.
There are protocols for these sort of things, the White House and State Department have the staff to sort it out, and no one is slighted. It's the least of the concerns with the Saudis.
For real concerns, watch the following excellent Frontline from tonight on the topic of corporate corruption focusing on the England-Saudi arms deals.
It's about the Blair government approving bribery of billions, and blocking the government's own investigation. It probably deserves its own thread.

I am curious what the left hand is doing in this administration while they distract us with the right hand over this insignificant situation? What legislation\spending did Obama ram through when we were busy looking elsewhere?

I think you are mixing up your pronouns. "while THEY distract us over this insignificant situaiton".... Surely you don't mean the admin hyped this bow thing up to draw fire? THEY can only refer to the right wing nutters freaking out over this and making it front page news on red state websites. Meanwhile, when asked about it, the WH sarcastically said "I'm sure with the economic situation going on that the american people are really concerned about this. Have anything important you want to talk about?"
Just maybe it's the right distracting you with this "story" because they have nothing else to talk about?

It's ridiculous that they are lying about a fucking bow...the video leaves no doubt but the jackasses still came up with a convoluted excuse about the height differential between the two men.....if he bowed any further he'd be kissing the king's feet.

So you guys are wound up about an anonymous aide spinning the bow? You guys really need to get out more if this is the kind of shit that riles you up so much.

When you don't have much to work with, you work with what you got. In this case, a bow.
Meanwhile, the latest Gallup Poll has Obama's approval ratings up a point to 63%, so that bow has really put the hurt on him, as his approval ratings might have gone up even more.

it's a protocol thing. in some neighborhoods, it's "give me some skin", the hand slap.
in France, it's the kiss on the hand or the double air kiss on the cheek. which i heard BHO had some trouble adjusting to, went for the handshake instead.
in S. Arabia, it's the bow.
so what ?
