Honest question, not Doctorate here, and sorry if I don't know the proper terms of it. Does trans hold the same physical adv over females as men?

No issue with trans but if they hold significant adv then I have no issue with proper measures. Many men can dunk a bb but barely any females can.

So I hope you understand the point I was making here--y'all barely even know about trans men, and just assume I'm still talking about trans women when I say trans men. This is not an accident.

Or it could have just been a simple mistake.

(this isn't a topic I spend a lot of time on)

Link to where I did that? I never said transmen should be forced to compete with women and I understand they take hormones that would prevent them from competing in women's sports, as it should.

In my own opinion I don't think its fair for genetically male persons to participate in female sports.
I am fine with genetically female people participating in male sports.
I don't think the federal or state governments should be involved in these decisions. This should be governed by the sports orgs exclusively.
For this I voted undecided.

Is an asterisks addended to their victory also not singling them out and/or diminishing them? Just a point of argument, I honestly don't know what the answers are here. As I said earlier, we're probably just too regressive/immature culturally and we need to move forward.
It's probably better than "no you can't play", I couldn't possibly care any less over who the fastest runner or swimmer or whatever is, so I'm probably not a good person to ask. The only person I'm competing against is myself.

Didn't say you did, and I didn't specifically respond to you, it was a generalized point. I'm sorry if you thought I was calling you out specifically.

It's a complicated issue that's just being weaponized to further the anti-trans agenda, given that of the small percentage of trans people in this country, it's an even smaller pool that this applies to.

I've long supported that everything should go in sports. full-doping, chopping off limbs just to run faster, competing as transgender, whatever. who the fuck gives a fuck?

It's just sports, and sports is really dumb. I love sports, but that doesn't mean sports isn't stupid. Let them all have at each other to the full ability of human ingenuity. I don't know why we desperately cling to this myth of "fair." No one really gives a shit in the end. We just want to see humans or semi-humans (can't wait for the cybernetics starting to be a thing) performing against each other at the peak of physical and technological ability.

Same here. Sports are entertainment. Once in a while you have athletes like Usain Bolt who are just naturally insane, but IMO allowing any advantage would make sports much more interesting and challenging.

I don't watch sports, but I would if all the athletes were jacked up on cocaine and steroids.

It does however come up from time to time and sadly people seem to have a lot of trouble "sorting it out" on their own without something having been mandated. (although it does seem like a waste of resources since we shouldn't have to do it at all!)

The people who are having trouble sorting it out are the same people who think trans people shouldn't exist. It has nothing to do with sports but their own homophobic beliefs. The correct response is to tell them to pound sand instead of catering to their BS.

If you were born male. Compete with male and vice versa. Aside from that. I have no problem with people being who they wanna be.

BS. People don't like it because it's an unfair advantage.

Show us all this widespread affliction burning across the country of trans people ruining sport. Thanks.

As has been said, a sporting body with doctors can come up with rules for that sport. Politicians making it a culture war thing is nothing but theater, and you are just as bad as them.

State shouldn't be involved in any way, shape, or form. Period.

And this seems like such a rare issue that it really shouldn't be driving this amount of discussion and anger from the small government, anti cancel culture side.

It's a little surprising how the voting turned out. I would have thought it would be the exact opposite.

Nearly 83% are at least "undecided" and over half are a definite "no" as of 10a Saturday at least. Apparently this place isn't as much of a "liberal echo-chamber" as many believe.

On the IRL "importance" scale this doesn't rate with issues of serious gravity UNLESS you happen to be an elite female athlete vying for a scholarship or one of their supporters/family-members.

It's a real shame that common-sense is so rare these days.... bottom line if you started life as a MAN you don't get to compete in contests decided by PHYSICAL STRENGTH against those who started life as a WOMAN. Period.

Why? Because it's NOT FAIR TO WOMEN!

Males ALREADY have the inside-track when it comes to sports and DO NOT NEED to take places away from female athletes just because they are incapable of competing with males.

As per stereotyped by "The Reicht", I've never actually seen such a "liberal echo-chamber". But it makes sense peeps like greenie believes in these Unicorns.

It's also important to point out that not every Democrat IS a liberal at all and that the "silent majority" IS still a thing!

At one point I would have referred to my political views as "moderate" (really moderate though not traitor to my party like Manchin) however lately I've come to realize that I'm actually now more on the "conservative" side of the Democratic party.

As a leftist in Scandinavia I think most of you would think im an actual commie.
I am as left as I can be while still
1. Separation of powers and free press is at the heart of society.
2. Pro EU, actually pro anything that brings free people, countries, together.
3. Not Russia friendly.(been seeing that dude coming for a looong ass time)
Still, peeps I know that shares my values, a couple of trans people in that, thinks that trans women competing nationals or international weightlifting is absurd. No shaming found, but we gotta figure something out.
Unicorns. All of us. I guess.

Thing is these days a "conservative" Democrat is still pretty dang far "left" compared to most of the GOP!

Tough to directly compare politics in our respective country's.
