I have no problem if a boy feels he is a girl, or vice-versa. But males are physically different than females, therefore I support this. There are some sports where a male (regardless of gender choice) have an advantage in certain sports.

I'm ok if individual sports bodies(state athletic groups, high schools overseeing bodies, ect) make an honest assessment and appeal to their athletes and families and make a reasonable attempt at inclusion and fairness.

I have no interest in shitters in state politics turning this into a stupid culture war that is just explicitly for cruelty and kicking marginalized communities. Because that's what it is right now.

This outrage is more about Republican Politicians scoring political points by going after transgender people than it is about protecting woman's sports.

I agree with Olympic Swimmer Erica Sullivan's opinion on this.

Many of those who oppose transgender athletes like Lia being able to participate in sports claim to be "protecting women's sports." As a woman in sports, I can tell you that I know what the real threats to women's sports are: sexual abuse and harassment, unequal pay and resources and a lack of women in leadership. Transgender girls and women are nowhere on this list. Women's sports are stronger when all women—including trans women—are protected from discrimination, and free to be their true selves.

Meh. This state can be terribly backwards, and rural regions are given way too much influence in the state politics.

It is funny though, how genetic differences that give you testicles are being given so much importance, while genetic differences that give you larger muscles or better coordination are completely ignored. Suppose it's because those benefiting from those can attribute it to hard work, and admitting genes make a difference would damage egos.
