Shouldn't Newegg Canada be online by now?

I remember reading reports saying that they were going online in October 2005, and so far nothing's happened. Do any of you know if there's a new launch date?

It is my understanding that becuase NewEgg is based in the US they need to use a common Carrier in oerder to ship to Canada.
Sad to say UPS is not the fastest when it comes to shipping to Canada. In fact they are outrageously slow.
NewEgg and UPS are having issues concerning the shipping.

Yes! I wish they would...I hate UPS. You know what the funny thing is? Newegg did a poll right before switching to UPS, and most of the people said they liked FedEx better than UPS.

I guess UPS is giving them a better deal.

I prefer FedEx over UPS and I did see that poll pretty bs how they switched to UPS. I hope someone from newegg reads this and switches back to FedEx

They must be having major issues, because they had said this summer i believe at the latest.

Seems like i'll be using NCIX.com for a while longer still...

I shop at ZZF much more now since they often have better prices than NewEgg, but when I do shop at NewEgg I always pay extra for FedEx.

The last thing I got from UPS, they randomly decided my apartment didn't exist. The tracking just showed "invalid address" and I had to go pick it up at the warehouse myself. Of course, the address was correct and FedEx has never had any problem finding the place.

UPS charges disgusting customs fees when importing from the States. Like $50 for a $100 product. This is just them too; Fedex and USPS don't charge anywhere near that amount.

Newegg Canada could just use the Canada Post, which uses Purlortior(cant spell it) for large packages.

LOL if you don't mind large mail-in rebates which increases your tax costs because tax is calculated on pre-MIR cost. Not to mention outrageous shipping pricings...unless you live nearby or are willing to go to the store or buying bundles...buying from TD is a no-no

Well...the US has better pricing to begin with. So you can't really compare Canada to US. If you are, then You'd have to consider a) exchange rate b) S&H costs c) wait time vs. Canadian shipping.
