What do you have in that nice camera bag?

And I saw your tripod too

Nothing was in the camera bag when the picture was taken. The D40 that's usually in there was the camera I used to take the picture because I needed the wide-angle to get everything in. I got the tripod from my cousin... he bought it for one project and never used it again, so when I went and saw him back in May he gave it to me.

Haha yeah, I should've figured that you used your camera to take that shot

D40.... is a  though... simply due to nonexistent inbody AF engine.

It's actually been a great camera, and seeing as how I'm trying to get in to photography and it was a gift (essentially my one Christmas present from last year) I can't complain. I would absolutely love to get more lenses or even a second body (maybe a D200 or D300) I really don't have that kind of money and I probably won't unless I win the lottery or something.

D40 is nice, some people prefer manual focus. Not only that but you can buy a lens with AF built in and it works just the same as if it were in the body.

Well to tell you the truth, D40, D40x and D60 are victims of poorly planned cost cutting. Yes, you can try to offset this with a lens but they are still unable to focus with any but a select few, primarily zoom AF-S lenses. All their AF line, including pretty much all of their prime lenses, will not autofocus on these bodies. Some fans of these bodies will suggest that you can just manually focus the incompatible lenses. They will then go on to tout all MF as superior to "AF or MF at your discretion." This is, of course, hogwash being spouted by folks trying to justify their own purchases of inferior goods. MF is great in some situations, but blows massive donkeys if you're interested in photographing moving subjects, which many people seem to be fond of. Of course if a D40 falls from the sky you can still take plenty of wonderful photographs with it but for the money, it's not ideal. I think as far as Nikon bodies go, getting an old used D50 or D70 or a new D80/D90 would be wiser

Here's mine -- I've downsized from a workstation and a file/print server to a laptop. I am loving the 15" LED-backlit screen.
