You have a desktop shortcut to Firefox. You have a QuickLaunch shortcut to Firefox. You have a Dock/Launcher shortcut to Firefox. You have a Start button, which, presumably, has a path leading to a shortcut to Firefox.
Isn't the point of installing launchers, docks, toolbars, etc to *reduce* the number of cluttering shortcuts on your desktop?

Or make sure you are always near clicking an icon you want.
