• Take the test and then post screenshots for the two result boxes.

Don't take it if you're going to answer falsely because it's being used for research. If you think the test questions aren't very good then don't submit the results or just deal with it and answer them as best you can.

Be sure to rate someone else you're very close to when you do it. It improves the accuracy and helps you to see context.

• Don't overestimate the accuracy of the Big Five or the interpretations of what the results mean. It is a controversial model and biases about what the results mean can make the comments about them very questionable. I think there are flaws in the model, the questions, and the comments about the results.

Just answer the questions honestly and post the result or skip this thread.

Here are my results and my rating of my spouse:

One example of a flaw is the comment about doing things haphazardly. This is called being poor. When one has money one can afford all sorts of staff to make organization much easier. This is a problem inherent in putting too much emphasis on personality and not enough on environmental circumstance.

I disagree with C and A. I generally keep my thoughts to myself. there's no reason for discourtesy unless someone else starts it. I can definitely be the bigger asshole if you want a dick swinging contest :^D

I'm also disorganized, but that doesn't affect my reliability. I do what I say I'll do. If we're meeting, I'll beat you there, and the job will be done 'good enough'. Perfection's a waste of time unless you're doing art. Good enough is good enough.

The survey maker's comments (and questions) are not necessarily the most accurate framing of the Big Five. However, I'm not sold on the Big Five in the first place. But, the thread is mainly for fun.

Thats some BS - you can absolutely be organized and be poor. I was poor, living in a shitty neighborhood, right next to a common drug deal site but none of that meant I did things haphazardly. I had a very organized\planned life so I could spent 100+ hours a week on school and work.

In any case:

I somewhat disagree with Openness. I love seeing out new experiences particularly when we travel

Apples and oranges, among other things.

You don't know what sort of projects I've worked on. I can guarantee you that a certain very powerful tool, called money, would make organization a snap when compared with trying to do it by myself.

But thanks for the bragging. As an American I get a warm fuzzy feeling whenever I see someone talk about how they pulled themselves up by the bootstraps. It's like apple pie and guns for hands.

Keep in mind my personality is different IRL than it is on the interwebs. i.e. I can give two fucks about you and your comments, etc. LOL!

I don't get it... The results reiterated the answers I gave. Umm. Isn't it obvious?

I must be missing something on mobile... I answered the questions and the response it gave me is that I'm exactly the type of person that would answer the questions the way I did.

It's like asking "what is your favorite color" and then the system saying "you're a person that likes this color". Well yeah, that's what I said.

I'm anything but relaxed internally, though I could see how I act like I am. Also, I'm often irritated with others, but I almost never express it.

And you don't know what projects I've worked on. I can guarantee you that doing things haphazardly is not called being poor. Haphazard actions, disorganization and poor planning occur at all levels of wealth as does organization and planning.

My statement was a simple refuting of your unsubstantiated claim. You decision to take it as bragging doesn't change the point

A legend of our time.

What is it with the boorishness in this subforum suddenly?

I've not completed the survey yet, nor do I have any idea what "big 5" is, but I found this statement confusing.

"...Likes to cooperate with others"

It may be a regional thing, but the meaning of this is vague to me. Cooperate can have more than one meaning in this sentence.

For example, I prefer to work alone on things that matter, like group work in school. But I love co-op games that require cooperation with others. However, another meaning of the word could imply that it's asking if I like to rebel or not. Like when a person of authority asks me to do something. Do I cooperate with that person's request, or do I question their authority. In that regard, it depends on the situation at hand, and under who's authority they are acting under. Even if I am compelled to comply, whether I like it or not is of no correlation.

I find fault in that test, not others. So much of the answers I want to give are situational. Am I talkative? It depends. Am I reserved? Again, it depends. The whole "strongly agree" "strongly disagree" scale is stupid. I hate it in corporate feedback surveys, I hate it in assessments. I usually just go down the center if I can.

If you want to know my personality just ask me, otherwise develop a better test.

Yeah I find a lot of questions like that are really situational. We had to fill out a similar type of survey at work a while back for our new benefits program. The health related section was hilarious as the questions were very vague. One of the questions asked "do you drink alcohol?". I drink maybe once a month if that, so I put yes. Then it branched off and seemed to suggest I should quit. "how long until you plan to quit?" "If we could send you to a camp to get help to quit, would you try?" etc. So I went back and picked no. Apparently by "do you drink alcohol" they meant "do you drink alcohol every hour of your life".

LoL! Yea, I hate that question. I'm always leery of answering because the real meaning is up to interpretation. What they really want to know is "Do you liked getting fucked up?" "If yes, how many days per week are you fucked up?".
