We can do without the necro, but I've had remarkable results just using a plain old plunger to clear slow bathroom drains. Pulls up a ton of soap-scum encrusted hair.

Long story short, the ceiling on the floor below my shower was removed, and my ptrap has a screw on plug. Easiest way to clear it up.

If you live with long haired women, periodic treatments of foaming Drano or similar might be needed in my experience.

A little while ago I saw those Drain Wig things and gave them a shot, seems to work. I don't know if it's catching all the hair, but it catches a lot.

They shed their hair. Esp. during showering. And it clogs the pipes pretty quick. You probably have a strainer somewhere in your basin. I have to clean my basin on a montly basis....

Their tampons are also another issue. That is when they are flushed down the toliet and clogs the trap to a point where you have to tear up the 1st floor ceiling to take apart to toliet trap while shit water is getting all over the floor.....

Toilets are trapped internally there shouldn't be another trap in the waste line.

I have the same issue but I can’t even get one of those cheap plastic decloggers to go in more than a few inches. I’m pretty sure the drain stop plunger is stuck in an almost closed position and not sure how to get it unstuck.

The stop plunger is past the trap which would be more than a few inches.

How deep do you think I should be able to shove it in? 6 inches or so? Any special techniques to getting it in? Can I just brute force it in or does is a repetitive in an out process required to loosen it up first? Are there any good videos that might show the process?

Sorry I got mixed up its not past the trap. Try removing the lever mechanism from the tub. If nothing is broken in there pull it up manually with a pair of pliers.
