I just watched this movie at a friends house...

I was laughing my ass off the entire time! This is one of the best movies I've ever seen! 5 stars!

I'm gonna buy the DVD on monday.

I agree. Shrek was a great movie. I rented it and watched it a few times before returning it. I think I'm adding that to my "Christmas List". Heehee

Very funny and surprisingly adult. But, if you do a search you'll find a thread filled with people who hated Shrek.

i loved it. the donkey was cool.

i was suprised at how much adult content they managed to fit into the PG rating though.

I didn't think it was that funny. It was humorous at some points, but not laugh out loud funny ever.

I'm one of the people who hated Shrek. I found the jokes lacking and not at all funny. Having said that, I still have to buy it because my kids LOVED it.

I loved Shrek when I saw it in the theatre, and now we have the DVD and my 2 year old can't get enough. He wants to watch it every day. He loves the donkey and the dragon.

I died laughing the other day, my wife and I were talking, and she said something, and I said "Really?" and my 2 year old son says "Really Really!!!" He loves when the donkey falls through the turnstile. And when Shrek takes a shower in mud.

I love the movie just because I can watch my son have a good time..

Overall, I liked Monsters Inc. more than Shrek, but I have to admit the biggest uncontrollable laugh I had in the movies this year was when I saw Fiona "blew up" the bird with her singing and then cook the mother bird's eggs. Totally irreverent!
