Shrinking too large of a shirt

Anyone found a better way to shrink a shirt besides just putting it in the washer w/ hot water and dryer? ie. using hotter water heated from kitchen, household chemicals (vinegar?), etc?

There are two rules of clothing.

1) Clothing that you buy which is sized just right or a little small will shrink significantly.

2) Clothing that you buy which is too big will never shrink.

Trying to violate either of those rules will rip hole into the space-time continuum and destroy us all. Won't someone please think of the children!

Is it a plain cotton Tee? You're probably not going to get a lot of shrinkage from it as most clothes are already made with a shrinkage factor (i.e. 3% maybe). Couple cycles of HOT water in the washer (no detergent) and a HOT dryer maybe.

I hate it when i want to buy a shirt and the med shirt is too short but the right wideness and then the large is the right length but then its too wide...WHATS UP WITH THAT!?
