(CNN)White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said she believes God wanted President Donald Trump to win the 2016 election, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported on Wednesday.
"I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that he wanted Donald Trump to become president, and that's why he's there," Sanders told CBN's David Brody and Jennifer Wishon, according to a transcript of the interview provided by CBN.

Right-wing authoritarians believe that whatever authority figure they submit to is ordained, by whatever "power" you want to call it, as the rightful authority figure.

SHS, my mentally unstable uncle, etc., are going to believe with all of their brain-damage that Strongman Trump, or Bush Jr. before him, is the rightful leader, DECIDER, or whatever they're calling their Messiah, this week.

There's nothing new in a right-wing authoritarian submitting to their perceived rightful authority. God, Jesus, Democracy, 2A, etc., is just a phrase they invoke before they say whatever they were going to say anyway.

eh, it's just in line with what such people of faith believe about everything. There is this acceptance that everything is planned by god, people do what they do and are where they are because god wills it (but then of course we somehow also have freewill....because that makes sense.
