I received a shipping confirmation from Musicians Friend eight days ago, with an invalid tracking number. So far, nothing. Also, my CC didn't get charged... what's going on here??

nope, didn't happen. They sent me several emails telling me the shipment will be delayed and if I wanted to cancel because of that etc. etc.
I hope this isn't their way of cancelling orders.

I got both of my scl4s. They kept doing that to me and I kept complaining. I also got $10 off the order and a $30 credit with them. That makes the deal even more insane.

People obsess way to much over bass anyway. Of course for a classical audiophile I guess it matters a lot less unless you're listening to some pretty awesome organ music.

Every person's hearing and taste is different. There's a reason there's a wide range of opinion for higher end headphones. Some people love the clarity, some people hate the lack of bass, etc

Got mine yesterday from musiciansfriend as well. Good stuff, although if you really want alot of bass, they might not be for you (amazing at blocking out outside noise though).

^agreed exactly. I got mine from Guitar Center, previous buds were Shure E2C's. For those who haven't used the shure products - Make sure you get a good fit with the sleeves or you'll definitely find quality to be very lacking.
Bass is loud when the track is bass heavy. But most of your normal tracks won't really be making your ears shake or anything.
