-11 here; had the furnace on essentially continuously.
Same here.
5:30am: Furnace turns on. Nighttime setpoint was 66°F.
6:45am: Temperature has risen by 1°F, and I'm about to walk out the door for the day.
I normally leave the thermostat at 55° while I'm at work, and then the furnace is set to turn on about 45 minutes before I normally get home.
That was a bit of an oversight yesterday. :\ It finally pushed past 60 by the time I was heading to bed. Cold all day, cold all night.
my apartment has miserable insulation.
I'm sitting in thermal pants, sweats over those, I'm wearing a hoodie as well - and I'm shivering sitting in front of my pc.
Our thermostat is set to 75ºF or a little higher - it's less than 65ºF in here, and I think it might be dropping. It can't get any higher when every window and door frame is covered in frost.
Time to wallpaper the place with some nice aluminized mylar.
